SYNOPSIS
Like ashes in your coffee reveals the state of mind of Mrs Segal, while she takes care of her husband's last months. Mrs Segal needs her coffee so she would have one mundane element in between all the madness. The Segals' love almost triumphs over cancer, but in the end, what can us humans really do against nature. When this is all over, will she be able to start a new chapter? Can anyone? It seems there will forever be some ashes in her coffee.

The film is experimenting with an odd story telling technique, dedicated to the illusive nature of this experience: taking care of a dying loved one. The story is sometimes interrupted harshly or indifferently, perhaps as a breather associated with the main character's emotions, or it simply drifts away to questions about justice or identity, like our consciousness frequently does.
It is a celebration to life, to love.
